5-MINUTE SPRINTS

If you don’t feel like you have time for regular journaling, 5-Minute Sprints are for you. This journaling technique is a timed writing exercise (5 minutes!) in which you write quickly without stopping.

You can answer the question “What’s going on right now?” or explore a specific word, topic, or feeling. It’s a great way to get a quick write in during a busy or hectic day. As some of my journaling students have stated, journaling can help you to work out problems or challenges you may be facing, or just to let go of all those hundreds of thoughts swirling about in your head.

So, grab a pen and paper, or your laptop, and on a fresh page, answer the question “what’s going on?”

Happy writing!
