A Letter to Transformation

This is an example for the Word of the Year Journal Guide. The exercise is to write a letter to your "word of the year" and ask them questions about how to focus on your word this year and how the essence of the word can help you grow.

Dear Transformation
I would love to have you in my life. I’m always thinking about having you come over for coffee, but then I get busy or overwhelmed. A lot of times I just get tired, and I don’t feel like cleaning up so that I’m ready for company. There’s too much clutter in the living room, and the kitchen needs a good scrubbing.
I just can’t have you over while everything is this messy!
I would love to see you though. I would love to have you be a part of my life. It’s been awhile, though! I don’t even remember what you look.
Sometimes I think I see all these different versions of you in my mind, but when I try to draw your image, it’s all a blank. I can’t remember any details about you. Maybe we start small. Would you please write me back? I would love to stay in touch. I would love to connect with you.
I have a few questions. How do I get from here to there? And where is “there”?
How do I make true change?
What do I need to know about you?
How do I be the person I’ve always dreamt of becoming? Where do I start?
I would appreciate any insights you could give me. Thank you so much, I look forward to hearing from you!
With love,
Marcy
